The Diamond Vision Advantage - Color Space Conversion
The use of LEDs for a video display technology presented a challenge to replicate the natural
colors that are created by NTSC/PAL CRT phosphors. Because the primary color wavelengths differ
between LED and NTSC/PAL systems, the two colorspaces also differ considerably. When this anomaly
is not compensated for, the result is LED colors that appear over-saturated and unnatural.
Mitsubishi Electric's original colorspace conversion technology converts the chromaticity of
each color (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, and white) independently. This enables
the Diamond Vision LEDerboard® to produce much more natural and vibrant colors.
